Chick magnet

An impromptu visit to SunnyBrooke Farm with Paula on Friday turned into an impromptu purchase of eight fuzzy chicks!  Four of them will reside at the Bradley residence, and four will take up coop at the Chard Yard.  Each household got one each of the following four breeds.  Clockwise from upper left, there's Gavin (not a chick) with baby Silver Laced Wyandotte (brown eggs), Gold Sex Link (brown eggs), supposed Barnevelder (chocolate brown eggs), and Ameraucana (blue/green eggs). Er... not necessarily in that order.  OK, so I don't know who's who.


I say "supposed Barnevelder" becaue when I looked at pictures of Barnevelder chicks, none of ours matched up with the pictures I found on the WWW.  I sure hope the mean chicken lady (Really? A mean chicken lady? Yes. Well, maybe not so much mean as really flippin' serious about chickens.) didn't rip us off...
