Happy Birthday to Grandma Debby!

Debby turned 39 (again) on Friday.  We celebrated by meeting her at Color Me Mine for some ceramics painting in Ogden, then coming back here for cheesecake and a slumber party.

As an extra-special birthday treat, Debby got to babysit Gavin and Vivian while Brandon and I went boarding at Beaver today.

 I call this trick the 'ragdoll'...

Try not to get sick as you follow Brandon through 'Beavah's Chowdah'.

 

Oh, and as long as we're already talking about Beaver, here's a pic of Gavin from when he and Brandon skied together on Wednesday.  I think maybe he'd had enough by this point.

G's got superhero fever.

Ask him who his favorite superhero is and he might say Batman, Spiderman,

Super Man, the Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, or Wolverine. 

He slings webs all over the house and asks us to fly him from room to room.  

Today Superman 'helped' me clean the bathroom.

Lucky like Lois Lane, that's me.

Don't tell me you're bored...

...because there's PLENTY to do around here!
Like practicing writing your letters in shaving cream ('G' is his favorite, go figure),

 (Apparently dipping your head in shaving cream turns you into Iron Man.)

and coating your Iron Man arm in "Goo"
(1 part water, 2 parts corn starch, and a dash of mess tolerance).

Don't forget to clean up your mess when you're done.

Big Boy Bath Helper

Brandon and I usually team up to give Vivian her bath. Brandon holds her and I wash her. Brandon wasn't available the other night so I enlisted the help of the other man in my life. He was very careful and gentle... for the first two minutes. Luckily that's all the time I needed to get our baby girl squeaky clean.

I've been playing around with Picnik (a new feature in Picasa).  With the "1960's" effect applied to this photo it reminds me of a similar one of me in the bathtub with my brother.  Having said that, I think they should rename the effect "1970's."

Maple Grove Hot Springs

I was pregnant last spring and fall, so we hadn't been to Maple Grove in quite a while. Sunday's weather, sunny with temperatures in the low 50's, was perfect for Vivian's first soak.  Snow is melting all along the Bear River and we're finally starting to feel like spring is on the way.
