Makin' Tracks

Today was unseasonably warm with highs in the upper 40's.  It was also a "green air day" in Cache Valley, so we took advantage and went for a hike.  The CCC Camp is at the mouth of Blacksmith Fork Canyon.  It's not a very big place, but it's close to home, we hardly ever see anybody else there, and our "hikes" are pretty limited in scope these days anyway.  Along the way we saw tracks of all kinds: deer, turkey, rodent, song bird, canine, and our own biped imprints.  As usual, we're so glad we made the effort to get out of the house and the fresh air did us all a world of good.

A Winters Week

Brandon's sister Heather and niece Rhiannon flew in from Portland to spend a week with us. The weather during their stay was pretty darn chilly, but we managed to find plenty to do including cooking, crafting, playing Wii (fun!) and trains (of course), sledding (during the warmest parts of the warmer days), and visits to the Cache Valley Fun Park (laser tag!) and sunny Beaver Mountain. I've posted a few of my favorite pics below, but you can re-live the whole shebang by clicking HERE. We miss those Winters girls already!
