Gavin really, really likes green beans.... this week. The prequel to this video (before I had the camera ready) included Gavin shoving fistfuls of beans into his mouth. I must have put four consecutive piles of frozen French-cut beans on his tray before I finally decided to capture the bean-a-thon on camera.
Gavin also liked kiwifruit today, after not liking it in two separate tries previously. Just goes to show that what they say is true: it sometimes takes 6 or 8 tastes before a kid will like a certain food. What they don't tell you is that the food they like one day will get flung across the room (or in some cases directly at your face) the next.
Gavin also really really likes to tease Joie and Brody. They're good sports, thank goodness. Sometimes Gavin throws the toys for the dogs to fetch. Sometimes he outright steals them. Sometimes he plays so hard he works up a mighty thirst and has to pause and refuel. I gather, from personal observation, that most toddlers are completely nutso. This particular young man is totally full of it (vim and vigor and piss and vinegar and snakes and snails and puppy dog tails) and his dad and I think he's pretty cute.
