Knitty love

My sweet friend Gabriella Hunter has many creative talents, not the least of which is a knack for knitting. Before Viv was born she gifted us with a gorgeous princess tiered (oh, shoot - that's not the exact name of it and although I kept the gift card I have no idea where it is at the moment) heather gray baby girl coat. It fits Viv perfectly right now and our little girl is quite enamored with it.

And as if that weren't enough, she surprised me a couple of weeks ago, out of the blue, with a pair of perfect-fit, turned-up toe, handmade felted wool slippers, complete with pansy applique. How lucky am I? They're sooo comfy I can hardly stand to take them off and put real shoes on. They make me want to curl up on the couch with a good book and a cup of tea.
